January Thoughts... | Personal

Sunday, 1 February 2015

I have unintentionally took a break from blogging this past month, I can't really make excuses but I can share with you some observations:

1. Everyone is posting the same old bullshit, a few examples being: Benefit Rollerlash Mascara, Sali Hughes - Pretty Honest book, Monthly Favourites. You get my drift. And if I'm being completely honest I'm just utterly bored of browsing my Bloglovin' feed because that's all I see. I often get inspiration from some of the blogs I follow but because of my lack of enthusiasm to even open Bloglovin' I'm now feeling terribly uninspired. I think I might just be a little bit bored of blogging about beauty, a little bit bored of how my blog looks, a little bit bored of how I feel most people are just being sheeps in regards to what they're posting.
2. My health is still having a pretty terrible time.
3. I've been trying to take some time away from staring at a computer for hours on end a day. Instead of returning home from work to sit and stare at Facebook/Twitter for a few hours, I've been engrossed in reading, watching some tv and even yoga. I think social media is a bit like alcohol, at the time you think it's good but most of the time it leaves you feeling a little bit depressed - it's full of people 'apparently' (90% of the time is some form of lie or exaggeration) doing things more interesting than you (you who's just sat staring at Facebook) and that's never going to make you feel better about anything, ever.
4. This video, on loop, sums up my January. I hate ice.

  1. I feel the same about beauty bloggers - it's all the same with very little variety. I hope you feel better soon xx
