Pick Me Ups // Haul ♥

Thursday, 12 September 2013

I hope you're all prepared for this pretty large beauty haul... my poor bank account is feeling sorry for itself. On the other hand I cheered myself up a lot in the past month, as you may or may not be able to tell by the length of this post. Oops!
If you haven't already seen my skincare post, see it HERE. I normally use the Simple Hydrating Rich Moisturiser, but in this hot weather England have magically been having, it's been far too heavy for my skin to handle so I picked up the light version, I have had this product previously and I love it. I also already use the All Bright cleansing cream from Botanics, I love it so much that I went and picked up the toner to go along side it - the wipes came free as I had a voucher for them if I purchased any Botanics product, which just persuaded me even more to go get the toner. And I will do a review of the 'All Bright' range at some point because I just love it so SO much.
Jergens Daily Moisturiser // £4.99
Body Shop Love Etc Sun Kiss // £7.50 (this was on sale)
I was running out of my normal mattifying moisturiser so when I was in Boots a couple of weeks ago I saw this in the sale bit, for £3. Yes £3. I know it's because Soap & Glory have redesigned all of their skincare and I just couldn't say no at three entire pounds. I haven't used it yet but I'm sure I will do a review on it once I have. I needed a new daily moisturiser and this was just something I picked up without really thinking about, I've used it once and it's lovely, it's moisturising and the smell isn't overpowering which is quite refreshing. Now, this perfume makes me want to cry. I bought it with my Body Shop Card and as it was my birthday, I got £5 off. So I actually paid £2.50 for this (well I got an extra 20% off too!) but now they've stopped stocking it *sob*, but it smells delicious. My best friend Megan suggested I purchased it and I am so, so glad I did.
I cannot find links for the moisturiser or the perfume, I believe the perfume isn't being stocked anymore *sob*, I did pick this moisturiser up in boots however, but it isn't on their website - I believe most supermarkets stock Jergens too.
Again, if you haven't read my review of the £1 range of blushers from MUA you can read it HERE. I have the powder version of 'Dolly' and it's my favourite out of the MUA blushers, so I decided to get the cream version of it and I love it just as much as I do the powder version! I'm definitely going to be picking up some more of their cream blushers (keep your eyes peeled for another review on these!). I purchased the Rimmel Wake Me Up Shimmer Touch as a bit of an impulse buy, I can't really say why I did, highlighters tend to look a bit daft on my pale skin but this is so flattering. It's not quite a blusher, and it's not quite a highlight. It's perfect. Whilst I was browsing MUA's blushers, I cheekily picked up this bright pink lipstick just because. It's a very bright pink and it's perfect for them days where you have simple makeup. I'm trying to stop wearing red ALL the time so!
Technic 'Moneybags' Nail Varnish // £2.95
Maybelline Forever Strong 'Porcelain' // £4.09
Technic 'Carnival' Nail Varnish // £2.95
For a start, these Technic nail polishes are absolutely stunning! I'm gonna try get some nail wheels so I can do some proper nail polish posts and reviews, and purely just to show you just how stunning they are. I can only find them on eBay but I picked mine up in a shop called Boyes for a mere 99p (bargain central!). I picked the Maybelline one up originally to go with the 'Moneybags' polish but it turns out this nail polish is the most beautiful and pretty nude I could possibly have in my collection. It's one of my favourite nail polishes at the minute, ideal for the days where you don't want a bright or dark colour on your nails. It's just perfect on so many levels.

This might have been a bit of a long post but I hope you enjoyed it! Have you picked up anything new recently?
